CHLOROGUNE SULPHATE



Brand Names : Chloroquine sulph: Chloroquini sulfas: RP3377; Nivaquine.




It is a white, odourless crystalline powder; soluble in water (l, in 3); practically insoluble in alcohol, sparingly soluble in chloroform and ether.

Uses: 


Chloroquine is used to cure malaria. It may be given as the phosphate, sulphate or hydrochloride.


Side Effect


Side effects include headache, gastro-intestinal disturbances like nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, pruritus and skin eruptions.
