Methsuximide, m.p. 52-53°, is a white to greyish-white crystalline compound; odourless or with slight odour. It is soluble in water. alcohol, chloroform and ether. It is stored in airtight containers.

Uses :

 Methsuximide is an antiepileptic agent with general properties similar to those of ethosuximide. The side effects include psychic disturbances, heptic disfunction and bone marrow aplasia.
